Qwixx ZAP is a dice row game where you roll 6 dice — 2 white and 4 colored (red, yellow, green, blue) — then cross off numbers on matching rows to score points. The more crosses you make in a row, the exponentially higher your score. The player with the most points wins.
Step 1 — White Sum: Add the 2 white dice together. You may cross off that total on any unlocked row. This step is optional — you can skip it.
Step 2 — Color Combo: Add 1 white die + 1 colored die. You may cross off that total on the matching color row only. The highlighted cells show "w1" or "w2" labels indicating which white die creates each combo. This step is also optional.
If you don't cross off anything at all on your turn (skip both steps), you take a −5 penalty.
Every cross must be to the right of your last cross in that row. You can skip numbers, but you can never go back — skipped numbers are permanently unreachable (shown with diagonal stripes). Red and Yellow count up 2→12; Green and Blue count down 12→2. Both directions play left-to-right on the board.
To cross off the lock cell (rightmost), you need 5 or more crosses in that row. Locking a row scores a bonus cross and removes that color die from play for everyone. The game ends when 2 rows are locked, you take a 4th penalty, or all rounds are played.
Points scale exponentially per row: 1 cross = 1 pt, 2 = 3, 3 = 6, 4 = 10, 5 = 15 ... up to 12 = 78. Each penalty subtracts 5 points. Your total is the sum of all four rows minus penalties.
Seven difficulty levels control how many rounds you play (8–20) and how smartly the AI opponent crosses off numbers. At higher levels, the AI prioritizes sequential crosses and lock bonuses.
