Privacy Policy

01 Information We Collect

Cliko Games is a free, browser-based gaming platform. We aim to collect the minimum data necessary to operate the service. Here is what we collect and why:

• Usage data via Google Analytics 4 — page views, session duration, device type, browser, and approximate location (country/city level). This data is aggregated and anonymised.
• Game progress via browser localStorage — your best scores, daily challenge completion, and streak counts are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your browser.
• Contact form submissions — if you fill in our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message. This data is stored in a private Google Sheet accessible only to Cliko Games staff.
• Ad impressions via Google AdSense — when AdSense is active, Google may collect data to serve relevant advertisements. See Section 4 for details.

We do not collect passwords, payment information, or any sensitive personal data. No account registration is required to play.

02 How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect for the following purposes:

• To understand how players use the platform and improve game design
• To serve relevant advertisements through Google AdSense
• To respond to contact form enquiries
• To track aggregate platform performance (total games played, most popular genres)

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

03 Cookies & Local Storage

Cliko Games uses two types of client-side storage:

• localStorage — used to save your game scores, streaks, and daily challenge status. No expiry date; data persists until you clear your browser data. Never transmitted to our servers.
• Cookies — set by Google Analytics and Google AdSense for traffic measurement and ad personalisation. You can opt out of Google's advertising cookies at adssettings.google.com.

We do not set any first-party cookies ourselves. The only cookies present on clikogames.com are those placed by Google's services.

04 Google AdSense & Analytics

Cliko Games uses Google AdSense to display advertisements and Google Analytics 4 to measure platform usage. Both services are operated by Google LLC.

• Google may use cookies to personalise ads based on your browsing history across websites.
• Google Analytics 4 collects anonymised usage data including session information, device type, and approximate geography.
• IP addresses are anonymised before being stored by Google Analytics.
• We have enabled data minimisation settings in GA4 and do not use Google Signals or advertising features within Analytics.

05 Third-Party Platforms

Cliko Games titles are distributed on third-party platforms including CrazyGames, Poki, and GameDistribution. When you play a Cliko Games title on one of these platforms, that platform's own privacy policy applies in addition to this one.

• We do not share personally identifiable information with these platforms.
• Score and challenge URLs shared via our "Challenge a Friend" feature contain only your score and difficulty level — no personal identifiers.
• Social sharing buttons (WhatsApp, Twitter/X, Facebook, Telegram) open third-party services in a new window. Any data collected by those services is governed by their own privacy policies.

06 Children's Privacy

Cliko Games is intended for players aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information to us via our contact form, please email us at privacy@clikogames.com and we will delete it promptly.

Our AdSense configuration is set to non-personalised ads only for users in regions covered by COPPA and GDPR-K regulations.

07 Data Retention

• localStorage data — retained on your device indefinitely until you clear your browser storage. We have no access to or control over this data.
• Google Analytics data — retained for 14 months per our GA4 configuration.
• Contact form data — retained in our private Google Sheet for up to 24 months, then deleted unless an ongoing relationship requires otherwise.

08 Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights under applicable data protection law (including GDPR and CCPA):

• Right of access — you can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
• Right to erasure — you can request deletion of your personal data from our systems.
• Right to object — you can object to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes.
• Right to portability — you can request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Right to opt out of ad personalisation — via Google's ad settings, linked in Section 4.
