❌ Classic 3×3
Standard Noughts & Crosses / Tic Tac Toe. Place your X on the 3×3 grid. Get three in a row — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally — before the AI does. Simple, fast, and competitive with a smart AI.
⚡ Double-Three 5×5 Mode
This is Cliko's exclusive twist! The board is 5×5 and the goal is completely different:
- You need to make TWO separate 3-in-a-row lines to win.
- A line can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal.
- Lines can share cells (e.g., a cross pattern counts as 2 lines).
- Every new 3-in-a-row you complete is tracked with a chip and dot.
- First to 2 lines wins. If the board fills before anyone gets 2 lines, it's a draw.
Strategy is totally different — you're racing to build two threats simultaneously while blocking the AI's pair.
⚙ Difficulty
Beginner Random moves — great for practising.
Medium Minimax depth 4 — plays reasonably well.
Hard Depth 6 — finds most winning moves.
Scientist Near-perfect minimax. Hard to beat.
Cyborg ☠ Unbeatable on 3×3. Ruthless on 5×5.
💡 Tips
- 3×3: Corner openings beat centre responses most of the time.
- 5×5: Build a "fork" — two potential 3-in-a-rows at once — early.
- 5×5: The centre cell (2,2) is critical — control it first.
- On Cyborg, 3×3 is always a draw if you play perfectly. Can you hold on?
